Neymar is currently playing in Brazil for his boyhood club Santos, and he is ready to remain with the team and continue his career there.
Details: According to Santi Aouna, the two parties have already begun negotiations on extending their cooperation and signing a new deal. Both sides are keen to continue working together, and Neymar is prepared to stay at Santos for another year. The talks are progressing smoothly, and an announcement about the new contract is expected soon.
This comes despite Neymar previously stating that he wanted to return to a top European league to strengthen his chances of making Brazil’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Neymar rejoined Santos in January 2025 as a free agent after his contract with Al-Hilal expired. His current deal with the club runs through December 2025.
Reminder: In Santos’ most recent match, Neymar delivered a brilliant performance, scoring a hat-trick that kept the team alive in the battle for Serie A survival.
