Independiente Santa Fe has parted ways with Argentine goalkeeper Andrés Mehring after the player submitted his resignation due to personal issues. The news was confirmed by Futbolred, which also reported that the decision was mutual between the club and the player.

Mehring, who was signed as a backup for the 2025 Liga BetPlay I season, appeared in only three matches — two as a starter — totaling 197 minutes. However, Futbolred learned that Mehring had traveled to Argentina with no intention of returning. Journalist Mariano Olsen later reported that the contract had already been officially terminated by mutual consent.
