Despite the interest, a transfer appears unlikely, as Newcastle are demanding at least 100 million euros for their star. With a strong midfield already featuring Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi, questions remain over the necessity of another central signing.

During the 2025/26 season, Tonali made 44 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing six assists. Transfermarkt values the player at 75 million euros, and his contract with the Magpies runs until June 2028.
