On loan from Manchester United, Jadon Sancho is eligible to play against London side Chelsea. However, he won't be able to face his parent club in the 37th round of the Premier League – and it's all down to EPL regulations.

Details: Both the Premier League and the FA Cup enforce a rule stating that a loaned player cannot take the field against the club that owns his contract.

The Football Association's rule for the FA Cup states that a player on loan "shall not play in a match against the club to which he is contracted," while the Premier League handbook specifies that "during the period of the temporary transfer... the player shall not play against the club to which he is contracted."

At the same time, in the League Cup, a player can feature if his parent club provides written permission, and in European competitions, clubs are not allowed to restrict loaned players from playing against them.

Reminder: Previously, Dailysports experts published a preview for the Chelsea vs Manchester United match, which will take place on May 16 at Stamford Bridge.
