Samuel Eto'o is no longer RCD Mallorca's all-time top scorer

The Cameroonian legend has been dethroned by Vedat Muriqi.

Samuel Eto'o has left a lasting mark on RCD Mallorca’s history in La Liga. During his time at the club, the former Indomitable Lions striker proved to be highly effective in attack.

The Cameroonian had scored 54 goals in La Liga for RCD Mallorca. However, this record set by Eto’o 22 years ago has finally been broken by a player in Mallorca. Vedat Muriqi, in fine form this season, has surpassed the record goal tally previously held by Samuel Eto’o.

After scoring a brace against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday 12 April during matchday 31 of the Spanish La Liga, the Kosovar striker has now scored 55 goals for RCD Mallorca. Muriqi has thus overtaken Eto’o to become RCD Mallorca’s all-time leading goalscorer in La Liga.
