Samuel Eto’o Confirms David Pagou Will Remain Cameroon Head Coach Amid Rebuild
FECAFOOT President Samuel Eto’o has officially confirmed that David Pagou will continue as head coach of the Cameroon national team, putting an end to speculation surrounding the technical bench.
Speaking on the matter, Eto’o explained that the decision was both deliberate and strategic, emphasizing the importance of stability as the national team goes through a crucial rebuilding phase. The former African Footballer of the Year stressed that frequent changes in leadership would only hinder progress and derail the long-term vision being put in place for Cameroonian football.
According to the FECAFOOT president, continuity on the bench is essential for developing a clear identity and allowing players to grow within a consistent system. He noted that patience and trust in the current project are key ingredients for future success.
