Samuel Chukwueze Wins Man of the Match as AC Milan Beat Torino 2-1 in Serie A Opener

Samuel Chukwueze made an impressive start to the 2026/27 Serie A season, winning the Man of the Match award as AC Milan defeated Torino 2-1 on Sunday.

The Nigerian winger played a key role in Milan’s victory, providing the assist for Adrien Rabiot’s goal that doubled their advantage in the second half.

Milan had taken the lead through Alphadjo Cissè after Rabiot delivered a precise cross into the box. Chukwueze then produced a superb delivery towards the far post for Rabiot to finish and make it 2-0.

Torino pulled one back through substitute Ché Adams in stoppage time, but Milan held on to secure all three points and give new head coach Ruben Amorim a winning start.

Chukwueze was a constant threat from the right wing-back position, creating four chances, more than any other player in the match.

His performance earned him the Man of the Match award and provided an encouraging start to his new Serie A campaign.
