The Moroccan international midfielder has added a further season to his previous contract, which ran until 2030.

This extension follows several months of discussions between the player and the club’s management. Having come through the Racing Mutest Academy, El Mourabet will thus continue his career with the Alsatian club, where he intends to make a long-term commitment.

With this agreement, Strasbourg has confirmed its desire to retain the Moroccan midfielder, who now has a contract running for the next five years. It is a vote of confidence in the player, despite his playing time still being limited since the start of the season.

Samir El Mourabet has, in fact, played in six Ligue 1 matches this season, two of which as a starter. His contract extension, however, offers him the opportunity to continue his development whilst wearing the Racing colours and to gradually cement his place in the squad.
