The 33-year-old centre-back has joined Amir Abdou’s squad at their training camp in Ouagadougou ahead of the two-legged international friendly against Guinea-Bissau.

Blati Touré has withdrawn for personal reasons, the Burkina Faso Football Federation announced in a statement on its social media channels. Following his withdrawal from the squad, Amir Abdou quickly found a solution. The Comorian coach has called up Saïdou Simporé, who plays for the National Bank of Egypt in the Egyptian Premier League, to replace the defensive midfielder from Al-Ahli SC in Libya.

Saïdou Simporé is a regular in the Burkina Faso squad. The defensive midfielder has 15 caps for the Etalons. The Burkina Faso national team will face Guinea-Bissau on 28 March and 31 March 2026 at the Stade du 4 Août in Ouagadougou as part of the international break.
