Sadiq Umar Continues Scoring Form as Valencia Beat Girona 2-1 in La Liga Clash
Sadiq Umar maintained his impressive recent form on Saturday, scoring in back-to-back matches to help Valencia CF secure a vital 2-1 victory over Girona FC in La Liga action at the Mestalla.
The match started slowly, with both sides struggling to create clear chances in a goalless first half that produced no shots on target. However, Valencia came out sharper after the restart with Largie Ramazani opening the scoring for the hosts just minutes into the second half, giving Valencia a much-needed breakthrough. Nine minutes later, Sadiq Umar doubled the advantage with a well-taken header, rising above his marker to meet a precise cross from José Gayà and powering the ball into the net.
Girona managed to pull one goal back, but Valencia held firm to secure all three points in a tightly contested encounter.
Sadiq’s strike continues his strong run in front of goal, taking his La Liga tally to three goals, along with two assists.
