Sabri Lamouchi Reportedly Sacked by Tunisia After Heavy World Cup Defeat to Sweden
Sabri Lamouchi has reportedly been relieved of his duties as Tunisia head coach following the Eagles of Carthage's crushing 5-1 defeat to Sweden in their opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to journalist Romain Molina of ESPN, the Tunisian Football Federation has decided to part ways with Lamouchi in the aftermath of the disappointing Group F result in the United States.
Tunisia endured a difficult evening against Sweden, producing a lacklustre performance that ended in a heavy defeat and immediately placed their World Cup campaign under pressure.
While the Tunisian Football Federation has yet to make an official announcement, Molina reports that Lamouchi's tenure is effectively over following the opening-game setback. Mondher Kebaier is expected to take over.
