Sabalenka defeats Svitolina in the third round of the Cincinnati Masters

On Friday, August 16, a third-round match of the Cincinnati Masters took place between Aryna Sabalenka and Elina Svitolina.

The first set was a fierce battle between the two players. Aryna led 5-3, but Elina managed to catch up and level the score at 5-5. However, the next two games went to the world number three, and she took the first set 7-5.

The second set was much shorter. Svitolina couldn't put up much of a fight and conceded the set to Sabalenka 2-6.

Aryna Sabalenka secured a 2-0 victory, advancing to the Cincinnati Masters quarterfinals, where she will face Liudmila Samsonova.
