The world's fourth-ranked player, Elena Rybakina, effortlessly progressed to the round of 16 in the Masters series tournament in Madrid.

In the round of 32, the representative from Kazakhstan defeated Italy's Lucía Bronzetti in straight sets, with Bronzetti currently holding the 46th position in the global rankings.

During the first set, the tennis players were on the brink of reaching a tiebreak, yet in the decisive moment, Rybakina capitalized on a break point, securing a 6-4 victory. The second set saw Rybakina commence with a lost game on her serve, but she swiftly recovered and claimed dominance with a score of 6-3.

Rybakina's next opponent will be the victor of the match between Marta Kostyuk and Maya Sherif. Should the Ukrainian advance, we anticipate a rematch of the recent WTA500 tournament final in Stuttgart in the round of 16.
