Ryan Moon considers leaving for another tryout

Golden Arrows forward Ryan Moon wants to leave for a new experience before the 2025/26 season.
The 28-year-old striker has been with Abafana Bes'thende since June 2022, arriving on a free transfer from Swedish side Varbergs BoIS and is now an integral part of the team.
The player suffered from a lack of playing time last season, appearing in only 11 games, which is expected to be the main reason for his departure and looking for a new experience. In this period of 11 games, the player managed to score one goal and secure only one assist.
While Golden Arrows have yet to officially announce any new signings or departures, changes are underway as the club prepares for the 2025/26 campaign. One confirmed exit is that of veteran defender Sicelokuhle Hlatshwayo, whose contract has not been renewed.
Hlatshwayo, who joined Arrows in November 2022 from Marumo Gallants, spent nearly three seasons with the Durban-based side. However, his playing time diminished significantly over the past two years. After making just two appearances in the 2023/24 season—partly due to injury—he was completely sidelined in the most recent campaign. His only involvement was as an unused substitute in a goalless league draw against Polokwane City.
With his departure now confirmed, Arrows are expected to continue reshaping their squad in the coming weeks as they aim to strengthen for the new season.
