Ryan Kent Set to Join Seattle Sounders After Five-Month Free Agency

Ryan Kent looks set to end his five-month spell without a club, with reports indicating he’s in advanced talks to join MLS side Seattle Sounders on a two-year deal. The 28-year-old winger has been a free agent since his release from Fenerbahce in October, reports The Sun.
Kent’s time in Turkey was far from smooth. After joining in 2023, he made just 19 appearances and played only twice in 2024 before falling out of favour under José Mourinho. His final appearance came in a Champions League qualifier in July.
Seattle would mark Kent’s fifth country as a professional after stints in England, Germany, Scotland, and Turkey. Once a fan favourite at Rangers, he scored 33 goals in 218 games and played a key role in their 2021 league title and 2022 Europa League run.
