Ryan Garcia backed up the injured Shakur Stevenson

Scandal boxer Ryan Garcia supported Shakur Stevenson, who injured his hand and underwent emergency surgery.

Because of the injury, Shakur's bout against Joe Cordina, which was scheduled to take place on the undercard of the Oct. 12 fight between Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev, was canceled.

Quote: I wish the fastest recovery for Shakur,” Garcia wrote on his social media page X (formerly Twitter).

Promoter Eddie Hearn has announced that Shakur won't be able to return to the ring until 2025. He tore a tendon in a finger joint.

Reminder: The undercard for the Dmitry Bivol vs. Artur Beterbiev fight, which will take place on October 12 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, has already been officially announced. There are several interesting fights scheduled that precede the main fight.
