In the capital of France, Paris, the final in shot put took place as part of the 2024 Olympic Games.

The winner in the discipline was American Ryan Crouser. He pushed the shot put to a distance of 22.90 meters.

For the 31-year-old American athlete, this is already his third Olympic gold in his career.

The second place also went to the USA. Joe Kovacs won the silver medal. The bronze medal was claimed by Rajindra Campbell from Jamaica.

At the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Ryan set a new Olympic record of 22 meters 52 centimeters. In the final of the Tokyo Olympics, he broke his own Olympic record on his first attempt, throwing the shot put to 22.83 meters.
