Rushing to Manchester. Paparazzi capture Amorim by private jet

November 11 marks the start of Rúben Amorim’s contract with Manchester United, but the Portuguese manager is still on his way to his new job.

Details: The new United coach and his staff opted to travel to England via a private jet. Paparazzi caught the manager on the runway at Beja Airport, about 175 kilometers from Lisbon. Amid recent cost-cutting measures at the club, it’s unclear who covered the cost of the private jet for Amorim.

Reminder: Earlier reports indicated that Amorim faced issues obtaining a work visa for the UK, which might prevent him from beginning his role on the first day of his contract. He also has yet to speak with his predecessor, Ruud van Nistelrooy, regarding the latter’s future at Manchester United.
