Royal visit: King Charles visits Tottenham Stadium and meets Son Heung-min
On Wednesday, King Charles III visited Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where he met several players, including Son Heung-min. The club shared footage of the royal visit on its official Instagram page.
The King arrived to acknowledge the positive impact of the club and its initiatives on the local community. During his visit, Charles spoke with Tottenham Women's team player Bethany England and also had a brief conversation with Son.
The King asked Son about Tottenham's next opponent, their chances in the upcoming match, and the team’s overall form. The South Korean forward appeared slightly awkward in his responses, seemingly overwhelmed by the royal encounter.
Tottenham are currently experiencing a serious slump, sitting 14th in the table and trailing the European qualification spots by more than 10 points.
