Last month, Ruben Amorim was appointed as the new head coach of Manchester United. Today, it has been revealed who is likely to be his first signing for the club.
Details: According to Dean Jones, Manchester United is close to completing the transfer of 17-year-old Norwegian prodigy Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg.
Financial details of the potential deal have not been disclosed, but it is reported that Nypan is set to sign a long-term contract with the club.
United has beaten competition from Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen to secure Nypan's signature.
In November 2022, Nypan became the youngest player in Rosenborg's history, debuting in the Norwegian league against Jerv at the age of 15 years, 10 months, and 18 days.
Since then, the attacking midfielder has become a key player for Rosenborg. In the recently concluded season, he recorded 8 goals and 7 assists in 28 matches. Transfermarkt values him at €12 million.
Reminder: Manchester United is also close to signing 17-year-old left-back Diego Leon from Paraguayan club Cerro Porteño.
