According to TyC Sports, no formal contact has been made, and the club’s leadership is taking a step back from the spotlight.
The breakdown of talks in 2024, during Di María’s Copa América stint, led to public friction involving fans, directors, and the player’s entourage—creating a tense atmosphere that still lingers. As a result, the board now insists any future move must be initiated by Di María himself.
Head coach Ariel Holan commented: “Any manager would love a player of his quality, but these are deeply personal decisions. Central is a well-run club and growing. If it happens, it’ll be because he wants it.”
