Barcelona traveled to face Alaves in the 23rd round of the Spanish La Liga.

The Catalan team didn't have the best performance in the first half, producing only half the number of shots as their modest opponents. However, Barcelona went into halftime as leaders thanks to a precise strike from Robert Lewandowski, assisted by Ilkay Gundogan.

At the beginning of the second half, the German midfielder scored himself, making his team's advantage more than comfortable. A brilliant pass from Pedri preceded Gundogan's accurate shot.

A few minutes later, Alaves revived intrigue with a goal from Samu Omorodion. The hosts started to believe in themselves, but Vitor Roque, who had come on as a substitute a few minutes earlier, quickly restored Barcelona's previous advantage. This was the winter newcomer's second goal for the Catalan team in five league matches.

However, the match wasn't entirely successful for the 18-year-old Brazilian. Roque entered the field with too much intensity, affecting not only his productivity but also his discipline. The forward managed to receive two yellow cards in just 13 minutes of playing time and was forced to leave the field prematurely.

Under Xavi's management, Barcelona collected 50 points, moving to the third position in the table, surpassing Atletico Madrid. Alaves sits in the 12th position.
