The AFC Champions League match between Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr and Dubai-based Al Wasl has been postponed indefinitely. The game was due to take place on Monday, October 26, in Riyadh, but the Asian Football Confederation announced a change to the schedule.

The organisation said in a statement that the new date and kick-off time would be announced later. There has been no official explanation for the postponement so far, but, according to The National, the decision may be linked to travel difficulties and the deteriorating security situation in the Middle East.

Other sporting events in Saudi Arabia have also been postponed in recent days. In particular, a Saudi Pro League match involving Al Nassr and Al Ahli was called off earlier. Changes have also affected the Six Kings Slam tennis tournament and a number of major events in the country.

It is still unknown when Al Nassr and Al Wasl will be able to play the postponed fixture. Cristiano Ronaldo's fans will have to wait for an official announcement from the tournament organisers.
