Ronaldo the Phenomenon recalls a funny story about how his friend drank his entire wine cellar
Brazilian national team legend Ronaldo shared a humorous story on the Charla podcast on Cadena Ser about how his compatriot and friend Vampeta once drank all the wine from his cellar.
Ronaldo and Vampeta, who was also a footballer and played alongside Ronaldo in the Brazilian national team, crossed paths at Inter Milan. Vampeta lived in Ronaldo's house in Milan when the Phenomenon had to travel to Brazil. Upon his return, a big surprise awaited him in the wine cellar.
Vampeta had completely drained his friend's stock, even drinking a special bottle of wine purchased for 10,000 euros.
"He moved into my house, and I went to Brazil. He had access to my wine cellar with 100 bottles, and he drank them all in two weeks. He drank all the wine bottles, and even found a special one. It was a 1976 vintage that I bought at a Parisian restaurant. He and his friends opened that bottle and poured it into plastic cups. Vampeta even said the wine was warm and added some ice! I couldn't believe it because, as I said, it was just a show-off wine," Ronaldo recounted.
