On Tuesday, June 11, Portugal played a friendly match against Ireland as part of their preparation for the European Championship.
João Félix opened the scoring early in the match with an assist from Bruno Fernandes. Portugal continued to dominate on the field but couldn't score any more goals in the first half.
After the break, Cristiano Ronaldo took charge. The Portuguese star doubled his team's lead in the 50th minute, and ten minutes later, he made it 3-0 with a brace.
Portugal thrashed Ireland 3-0 just days before the start of the European Championship. On June 18, Portugal will play their first game of the tournament against the Czech Republic.
