Roma's owners will try to convince Ancelotti to take over the team

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has unexpectedly emerged as a potential candidate for a new managerial role.

Details. According to AS, Roma is looking to bring the Italian in as their next head coach.

The club’s owners, the Friedkin family, are personally working to persuade Ancelotti to take charge of the Giallorossi, much like they did with José Mourinho in 2021. Roma is appealing to Ancelotti’s deep ties with the club, as he played for them from 1979 to 1987.

However, Ancelotti has made it clear on multiple occasions that he intends to stay at Real Madrid for as long as possible.

Reminder. Ancelotti’s current contract with the Spanish giants runs until the summer of 2026. Roma, meanwhile, will be led by Claudio Ranieri until the end of the season.
