Roma is close to signing former Arsenal goalkeeper

Roma is close to signing former Arsenal and Brighton goalkeeper Mathew Ryan, according to insider Fabrizio Romano.
The Australian national team goalkeeper is needed by the "Giallorossi" as a new backup goalkeeper.
It is expected that the parties will sign a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension for an additional two seasons.
Ryan will fly to Rome on Monday, July 15, to undergo a medical examination on Tuesday. If the procedure is successful, the parties will finalize the deal.
The 32-year-old Ryan is known for his stints with Brugge, Valencia, Arsenal, Brighton, and Real Sociedad, among other clubs. The experienced goalkeeper has 95 caps for the Australian national team.
Since July 1, the Australian has been a free agent after leaving AZ Alkmaar.
It is worth noting that this summer, Roma bid farewell to the legendary Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Patrício.
