Roma have signed a midfielder from Ligue 1 for 23 million euros
Roma, which extended head coach Daniele De Rossi's contract earlier this summer, has completed its first high-profile transfer of the current window.
Central midfielder Enzo Le Fée has moved from French club Rennes to Roma. The Roman club paid 23 million euros for the 24-year-old Frenchman, who signed a five-year contract.
Le Fée becomes Roma's most expensive signing since the summer of 2021, when they bought Tammy Abraham from Chelsea for 41 million euros.
Last season, Le Fée, a defensive midfielder, played 35 matches across all competitions and provided 6 assists.
Before joining Rennes, Le Fée played for his hometown club Lorient, where he was the leader and the star of the team.
Roma finished sixth in Serie A last season, thus earning a spot in the UEFA Europa League for the upcoming season.
