Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini admitted he was upset on the day Daniele De Rossi was dismissed from the club.

However, the captain also expressed his belief in new coach Ivan Jurić, who he says is helping to "steer" the Giallorossi in the right direction.

Quote: "I don't think it's disrespectful to Mr. Jurić that we were sad on De Rossi's farewell day. When he came in, he understood it was a difficult moment for us. He turned our sadness into a desire to give our all.

I have great respect for Daniele and his team because, in my opinion, they were an excellent group. Now, we must move forward, as Roma always does. We're fortunate to have someone who could understand our sadness and guide us back onto the right path," said Pellegrini.

Reminder: According to TUTTOmercatoWEB, the main reason for De Rossi's departure could have been a conflict with Roma's CEO Lina Souloukou. Their relationship had reportedly been tense for some time, with disagreements over transfers and a lack of results.
