Genoa is in no hurry to part ways with their midfield linchpin.

Details: According to Calciomercato, 24-year-old Danish international and Genoa central midfielder Morten Frendrup could be on the move during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Reports indicate that two Italian giants—Roma from the capital and Milan's Inter—are closely monitoring Frendrup and have already initiated contact with his representatives regarding a potential transfer.

Genoa recognizes the difficulty of retaining the player amid such high-profile interest, but the club hopes to secure a substantial fee should they ultimately have to let their midfield star go.

Previously, Frendrup has also attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Tottenham, Brighton, Brentford, and Liverpool.

Morten Frendrup joined Genoa from Brøndby in 2022 for €4.4 million. The Dane has made 138 appearances for Genoa, scoring 7 goals and providing 6 assists.

His current contract runs until 2028, and his market value is estimated at €20 million by Transfermarkt.
