Rodri wants to leave Manchester City for a La Liga club
Rodri remains a key leader for Manchester City, but the midfielder is now reportedly thinking about leaving the Premier League side.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish midfielder wants to return to Spain and join Real Madrid, which is his preferred destination to continue his career.
However, Real Madrid are unsure whether to make a move this summer, given that Rodri’s contract runs until 2027, meaning they could instead wait and attempt to sign him on a free transfer.
Meanwhile, Manchester City’s next manager Enzo Maresca has already begun working on the club’s transfer plans even before his official appointment, preparing for a new era at the Etihad.
We recently reported that Maresca is set to replace Guardiola as head coach of Manchester City and will sign a three-year contract. All terms have already been agreed, with only the formal signing still pending.
Reminder: Bernardo Silva is also expected to leave Manchester City at the end of the season, with the Portuguese playmaker now facing a major decision over the next chapter of his career.
