In an effort to improve the performance and quality of the national team, the Saudi Arabian Football Federation appointed the legendary Italian Roberto Mancini as head coach. However, they may soon be in search of a new manager.

Details: According to La Repubblica, the Saudi football leadership is seriously considering dismissing Roberto Mancini in the near future.

The reason is the recent unsatisfactory results of the "Desert Falcons." Under Mancini’s guidance, Saudi Arabia was eliminated from the 2024 Asian Cup in the Round of 16, losing to South Korea in a penalty shootout.

In the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Saudi Arabia is currently in third place in their group, with the same points as Australia and Bahrain.

Following a goalless draw against Bahrain at home, Mancini left the field to boos from the fans, who are demanding his dismissal.

Reminder: Before joining Saudi Arabia, Mancini coached Italy and led them to victory at Euro 2020.
