Roberto De Zerbi has stated that he is ready to leave Marseille after another defeat
Marseille head coach Roberto De Zerbi has threatened to resign after another home defeat, this time a 3-1 loss to Auxerre at the Velodrome. Fans of the French club are increasingly critical of the coach.
Quote: "If I am the problem, I am ready to leave. I’ll leave the money and return my contract. Playing at the Velodrome is a privilege. I want to pass on to the people I work with what I think about football," De Zerbi said after the defeat.
He noted that he is unable to get his players to show the same level of performance he sees in training and away games.
Reminder. Despite being in second place in Ligue 1, Marseille has won only one of their five home matches this season. In their last two games, they conceded three goals in each. Marseille's next match is against Lens on November 23.
