River Plate leads the world in match attendance

“Los Millonarios” have topped the list of the most attended teams last season.
Details: The portal Transfermarkt published an intriguing ranking of the world’s most popular home teams on its X page. To the surprise of many, all the European heavyweights were eclipsed by the club from Buenos Aires.
During the 2024/25 season, River Plate's matches drew an average of 84,782 spectators—an astonishing figure, especially considering that only domestic league games were counted.
Currently, River Plate is competing in the Club World Cup, where they've already secured a victory over Japan's Urawa in the opening round of Group E.
