Riveiro's salary at Al Ahly revealed

Former Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has officially taken charge of Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly today. While official statements were tight-lipped about the Spaniard's contract terms in North Africa, the media has already uncovered the details.

Details: El Watan Sports reports that Riveiro has signed a two-year deal with the Egyptian football giants, with an annual salary of $1.2 million.

His contract also includes a range of bonuses. Riveiro will receive a bonus equivalent to three months’ salary if he wins the CAF Champions League, and a bonus equal to one month’s salary for claiming the Egyptian Premier League title and/or the CAF Super Cup.

The salaries of the Spaniard’s assistants have also been disclosed. Carlos Nodar, Miguel Peixeira, Juan Jose, and Sebastian Podsiadly will collectively earn $65,000 per month.

Reminder: The coaching staff at Al Ahly under the Spanish specialist now includes Miguel Belver Esteve, who previously worked at Orlando Pirates until 2023.
