Riveiro is talking about the CAF Champions League quarter-final!

The Spanish head coach of Orlando Pirates Jose Rivero revealed the possibility of facing Mamelodi Sun downs in the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League, in general, confrontations are always on fire between the teams of the African continent in this tournament, and especially between the teams of South Africa, especially the big ones.

The two teams, Mamelodi and Pirates, qualified for the final price of the Championship, and for Orlando Pirates it was the first time since 2013 that the team qualified for the final price after topping the group this season with 14 points with four wins and two draws.

It is learned that the draw for the tournament will be held next Thursday, February 20, in Doha, Qatar, and the first round of the quarterfinals is scheduled to be held on April 1 and 2, and the second round is scheduled to be held on April 8 and 9.

The coach welcomes the idea of their possible confrontation with Mamelodi Sun downs: "It’s one of the three opponents that we can get from that draw; if it’s Sundowns, it’s good that we don’t have to travel so far. So it can be good for planning for both teams, we know each other very well, we’re going to play again on the 15th March as well, For me to comment on possibilities in the draw, we have our conversations amongst ourselves, the technical staff, including the last camp, on which one could be better basically for the way we play football more than anything else" Jose Rivero said.
