The Polish basketball club Żubry Białystok has announced the death of one of its players.

Details: Żubry Białystok shooting guard Roman Janik has died at the age of 30. The player, who played as a shooting guard, previously represented teams from Pruszków, Siedlce, Krosno, Pelplin, as well as the Śląsk Wrocław reserves.

Janik was a product of the UKS Komorów youth system. In Poland's first league, he played 285 games for six different clubs. Żubry Białystok was his last team. In Friday's match against Polonia Leszno, he spent most of the game on the court. Despite the team's efforts, Żubry lost by a single point.

Roman Janik was scheduled to play the next game against Polonia Warszawa, but tragically, this was made impossible by his untimely death.

The Dailysports editorial team extends its condolences to Janik's family and loved ones.
