Atlético Madrid has suffered an irreplaceable loss.
Details: Enrique Collar, the iconic footballer and captain of Atlético, has passed away at the age of 92.
Collar played 470 official matches for Atlético—the fifth-highest total in the club's history among appearance leaders—scoring 105 goals. He wore the captain's armband for a decade, setting the club record for longest-serving captain.
Together with Atlético, Collar became Spanish champion in the 1965–1966 season, lifted the Copa del Rey three times (1960, 1961, 1965), and won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1961–1962.
Besides Atlético, he also played for Cádiz, Real Murcia, and Valencia.
