Details: Spanish football has suffered a heavy loss. Former footballer Borja Ferrer has passed away after a long illness. The sad news was officially confirmed by Rayo Vallecano, who published a statement offering condolences to the family and friends of the ex-player.

Ferrer donned the colors of the Madrid club in the 2004/05 season when the team competed in Segunda B. Although his spell at Rayo was brief, the club stressed that the memory of the player will be cherished forever.

Throughout his career, Borja also played for Xerez, Real Madrid B, Ponferradina, Alcalá de Guadaira, and Castelldefels.

In its official statement, Rayo Vallecano expressed heartfelt condolences to Borja Ferrer's family, friends, and everyone who knew him, noting that his name will forever be part of the club's history.
