Details: Today, the official Napoli page announced the tragic news of the death of 58-year-old former striker Igor Protti.
It was reported that Protti passed away after a difficult and lengthy battle with a long-term illness, which ultimately proved insurmountable.
Protti left a lasting impression on supporters with his performances for Napoli, Lazio, Livorno, Bari, and Reggina.
Igor Protti was crowned Serie A top scorer in the 1995/96 season, and in the 1998/99 campaign, he lifted the Italian Super Cup with Lazio.
In 2005, Protti announced his retirement, with Livorno being his final club.
