Details: According to The Mirror, it was reported yesterday that 38-year-old former Italian defender Cristian Jiday has died.
It is noted that Jiday's death appears inexplicable, as there are no signs of foul play. On Tuesday, Jiday did not show up for work, which raised concerns among his colleagues. They immediately informed Jiday's family about his absence, and later, using the geolocation of his mobile phone, his lifeless body was discovered. During his career, Jiday played for clubs such as Cesena, Montava, Bassona, Novara, Pro Patria, Lecco, and Forli.
He was part of Novara's squad in the 2011/12 season when the team earned promotion to Serie A. In 2017, Jiday announced his retirement from professional football and tried his hand at coaching.
