Details: According to RMC Sport, 16-year-old Italian golfer Emanuele Galeppini tragically lost his life in a horrific fire at the Swiss resort of Crans-Montana.
The Italian Golf Federation announced Galeppini's death, even as Emanuele’s loved ones continued their desperate search.
The tragic New Year's Eve, marked by a devastating blaze at the La Constellation bar, claimed 40 lives and left another 115 people with severe burns.
Galeppini was regarded as a highly promising golfer. In April 2025, he won the Omega Dubai Creek Amateur Open, and also competed in the King Hamad Trophy at the Royal Golf Club in Bahrain and the UAE Cup in Al Ain. He also played in tournaments in France and Belgium.
Emanuele Galeppini was set to turn 17 on January 21 this year, but fate had other plans. RIP.
