Everton hosted Tottenham at Goodison Park in the 23rd round of the English Premier League.
The hosts needed to secure points as they found themselves back in the relegation zone. However, the match for the Toffees started poorly, with former Everton forward Richarlison putting the visitors ahead in the 4th minute. In the middle of the half, the Blues managed to equalize when Jack Harrison scored a header from a corner. However, Tottenham still went into halftime with the lead. Richarlison secured a brace, but in stoppage time, Jarrad Branthwaite salvaged a draw for his team after a set-piece play. Tottenham missed out on a victory and allowed Aston Villa to overtake them.
The Spurs are now in fifth place, while Everton remains in 18th.
