Richarlison Vows to “Train Like Crazy” After Disappointing Brazil Performances

Tottenham forward Richarlison has not held back in assessing his recent form with the Brazilian national team. Speaking candidly to Globo Esporte, the striker admitted he fell short in both matches of the latest international window and is determined to bounce back.
“I didn’t play well in either of the last two games,” he said. “I came on late today and didn’t deliver. Against Ecuador, I started but barely touched the ball. Now it’s just about working. I have to get back to my club and train like crazy to earn this shirt again.”
Despite his struggles, Richarlison remains optimistic about the upcoming season. After two injury-plagued years, he’s finally set for a full preseason with Tottenham—something he believes will be key to regaining his best form. “It’s been two seasons without a proper preseason, and that’s taken a toll. Ending the year well and winning the Europa League helped me return to the national team. Now I want to keep building from here.”
Off the pitch, joy awaits: Richarlison and his partner Amanda are expecting their first child, Richarlison Junior, whose arrival is just days away.
