Richards Bay FC is close to finalizing two important trades for the team

Richards Bay FC is finalizing deals to bolster their squad with two key additions—Malawian striker Gabadinho Mhango and midfielder Lindokuhle Mtshali—ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Mhango’s Move After Strong Season
Mhango, who recently parted ways with Marumo Gallants, is set to bring his attacking prowess to the KwaZulu-Natal outfit. The 32-year-old forward joined Gallants at the start of the season when the club acquired Moroka Swallows’ PSL status. Despite limited minutes in the final stretch, Mhango made an impact, scoring five goals and contributing one assist in 25 appearances across all competitions.
However, his playing time dwindled toward the end of the campaign, with just two league appearances in the last seven matches—only one of which was a start.
Mtshali Seeks Fresh Start After Tough Spell
Mtshali, meanwhile, is looking to revive his career after a difficult season with Sekhukhune United. The midfielder made just two appearances following his move from the defunct Swallows and faced disciplinary issues in April after an unauthorized absence. Though he was later reinstated, he failed to make another matchday squad before the season ended.
Reunion at Richards Bay
Interestingly, Mhango and Mtshali were teammates at Swallows before the club’s dissolution. Now, they could reunite at Richards Bay as the club aims to strengthen its squad for the upcoming season.
