Ricardo Sa Pinto Admits Struggles After Raja’s Defeat to AS FAR

In the wake of Raja Casablanca's disappointing loss to AS FAR at home in their CAF Champions League group stage opener, coach Ricardo Sa Pinto admitted things are not going as planned.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Sa Pinto appeared visibly unsettled: "We did everything we could. By closing all the gaps and wearing us out with quick counterattacks, AS FAR sat back. Our players scored a goal in the first half, but they didn't give up. But the missed penalty complicated matters for us and altered the outcome of the game.

He said, "This loss is frustrating and unfair considering the effort we put in throughout the match."

Sa Pinto concluded by saying, "I don’t know what’s next. The fans left upset, and rightfully so. Many things have improved recently, but I can't explain what's happening. I’ve never experienced a situation like this before in my coaching career."
