Éric Chelle Explains Why Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman Will Miss Nigeria’s Upcoming Friendlies

Éric Chelle has revealed that key forwards Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman will not be available for Nigeria’s upcoming international friendlies against Poland and Portugal.

The Super Eagles are scheduled to face Poland in Warsaw before taking on Portugal in Leiria on June 10 as part of their preparations for future international assignments.

Although both players were initially included in Chelle’s squad announcement, the Nigeria coach confirmed that they have now been excused from the matches for different reasons.

“We miss two players because Victor Osimhen maybe he is about to change club so I prefer he stays at home because if he plays and is not at 100 percent is not good,” the Malian told the Super Eagles media.

“For Lookman he is very tired and Atletico ask us to excuse him.”
