Reward for stellar performances: Nottingham Forest extends Chris Wood's contract
Nottingham Forest is enjoying a remarkable season, with striker Chris Wood standing out for his impressive scoring form. The club has decided to reward the player for his contributions.
Details: According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Nottingham Forest has agreed on a new contract with the New Zealand forward. The new deal runs until 2027, and all documents have already been signed.
Notably, just a few days ago, Murillo, who joined the club in August 2023 and has played over 50 matches, signed a contract with Nottingham Forest extending his stay until the summer of 2029.
Nuno Espírito Santo's team now sits third in the table with 44 points after 22 matches, trailing Arsenal only on goal difference.
Reminder: Nottingham Forest has opened the scoring in 18 of their 22 Premier League matches this season. In the competition's history, only Manchester City achieved this more frequently in their first 22 matches of a campaign, with 19 in both the 2011-12 and 2018-19 seasons.
