Reward for patience at Stamford Bridge: Chelsea preparing improved contract for Estêvão
London club Chelsea are ready to offer 19-year-old Brazilian forward Estêvão Willian a new contract on improved financial terms.
Details: According to respected British outlet MailSport, the Blues’ hierarchy want to reward the young footballer for his professional attitude and patience during his integration into the first team. The winger’s current long-term deal ties him to Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2032, but the club’s management believes it would be fair to significantly increase the player’s salary.
At the Blues’ headquarters, the Brazilian forward is viewed as a cornerstone of the club’s long-term sporting strategy. The pay rise is intended to underline the board’s strong confidence in him and create the most stable possible environment for the footballer to fulfil his potential in the Premier League.
It is worth noting that Chelsea reached a preliminary agreement to sign Estêvão from Brazilian club Palmeiras back in the summer of 2024 for a fee of more than thirty million euros, excluding substantial bonuses. In his homeland, the gifted winger displayed phenomenal goalscoring form, earning a reputation as one of South America’s leading talents and receiving a call-up to the Brazil national team.
