Revolutionary decision. Premier League clubs voted in favour of implementing the new technology

Numerous referee errors and contentious decisions by VAR have pushed the English Premier League towards a new technological solution.

Today, all 20 Premier League clubs unanimously voted for the introduction of semi-automatic offside detection technology starting from next season.

This makes the Premier League the first top league in Europe to implement this technology.

It's worth noting that semi-automatic offside detection system was previously used during the 2022 World Cup matches and will assist referees in determining offside calls at Euro 2024.

It is expected that all top leagues will implement this technology in the near future.
